What is a Peer Leader?
A Peer Leader is a current full-time student that exemplifies and upholds Penn State's mission, core values, and school spirit. Peer Leaders are a critical component to the transition and success of our new students and serve as vital student leaders by guiding new students through Orientation, Move-In Day, and New Student Day.

What type of time commitment should I expect?
Thursday, May 8th 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Friday, May 9th 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
*Both sessions required attendance
New Student Orientation: Tuesday, June 24th-Friday, June 27th
Tuesday, July 15th-Friday, July 18th
Tuesday, August 5th-Wednesday, August 6th
Tuesday, August 19th-Friday, August 22nd
What are the requirements to apply?
Interested applicants must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and submit a completed application by 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 28th. Applications are available in the Student Development Center (SUB 101).
Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered.
