This program, offered in conjunction with Penn State Harrisburg, is designed to enhance the skills of teachers in public and private schools. 


PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Teaching and Curriculum will help you to:

  • Increase your competency in various teaching methods and the use of materials and content.
  • Enhance your ability to conduct instructional programs that provide a sound intellectual and emotional climate for learning.
  • Interpret and evaluate educational literature and research.
  • Communicate more effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Gain confidence in using technical skills to deliver instruction.


    PROGRAM QUICK FACTS
  • 36 credits are necessary to complete the degree.
  • Up to 10 transfer credits are allowed.
  • No GRE’s are required unless the junior / senior grade point average (G.P.A.) is below 3.0.
  • The faculty is comprised of skilled, professional practitioners.
  • The program meets the requirements for permanent certification or Act 48 Continuing Education.
