Transfer Admissions ... Step 2

The Application

We recommend that future Penn State students apply for admission on-line. To do so, you need to create a My Admissions account. My Admissions is your one-stop shop for customizing your Penn State admissions experience. My admissions will create an admissions account that will allow you to apply on-line, print a paper application, receive customized messages and check the status of your application.

Make sure to remember your My Admissions user ID and password. You'll need this each time you log into Penn State.

Want a paper application? You'll still need to create a My Admissions account to request a paper application on-line. You can also call the Penn State Beaver Admissions Office at 1-877-JOIN-PSU or email us at br-admissions@psu.edu and we will send one to you in the next day's mail.

Apply to Penn State

Below are the four components of a completed application:

  1. A completed web or paper application.
    • You may start the web application and save it at any time in order to return to it at a later point.
    • If you choose to submit a paper application and are requesting Beaver campus, please send or bring your completed application to the Penn State Beaver Office of Admissions for personalized processing.
    • The extracurricular and activities portion of the application is optional. However, it may help us in making a decision about your admission to Penn State.
    • My Admissions Advantage is your one-stop shop for customizing your Penn State admissions experience. You will be asked to create an admissions account that will allow you to log onto the Penn State admissions site numerous times, to apply and check the status of your application.
  2. Application fee.
    • Students must submit a $50 application fee via the web application. Only Mastercard and Visa are accepted.
    • Students submitting a paper application must include a $50 check made payable to Penn State.
  3. Official high school transcripts.
    • All students, regardless of the number of years out of high school, must submit official high school transcripts to Penn State. Students can make this request by contacting their high school's records or guidance office. Transfer students are required to submit official high school records to show proof of graduation.
    • Students who have completed a GED must submit an official copy of the GED, along with any official high school transcripts representing any grades earned in high school prior to the completion of the GED.
  4. Official college transcripts.
    • Transfer students must submit official transcripts from all regionally accredited institutions at which they attempted credit and/or have a current schedule.
    • Transcripts must come directly from each institution.
    • All information should be sent to Undergraduate Admissions at either University Park campus or Beaver campus.
