Welcome to the Penn State Beaver Alumni Society website.
Established in 2001, the society actively and successfully unites Penn State alumni with each other as well as Penn State Beaver. The society’s goals are to support the campus in its academic mission by fostering a sense of pride and loyalty to Beaver as well as enhancing its image and reputation in our communities.
Since its formation, the Alumni Society has held an annual golf outing and, to date, has raised more than $185,000 to establish and build the Penn State Beaver Alumni Society Endowed Scholarship and to provide improved directional on-campus signage.
Due to the record (at the time) amount of $18,000 raised through our 2009 golf outing, our group received the Scholarship/Fundraising Award given by the Alumni Council Awards Committee of the Penn State Alumni Association. We were chosen from among 100 nominations from 50 affiliate groups considered for the award.
The society's Twelfth Annual Golf Outing was held September 10, 2012, at Seven Oaks Country Club, Brighton Township. We're proud to announce that $24,000 was raised for Beaver student scholarships at that outing. We're currently planning our fall golf outing for Monday, September 9, 2013, so please be sure to check back here for more details as they become available, or contact us as indicated below.
In addition, the Alumni Society sponsors an annual spring reception for former Beaver students now attending Penn State University Park. The event, held at the Nittany Lion Inn, provides the Alumni Society with a great opportunity to socialize with our former Beaver students as well as receive input about their experiences at both campuses.
In the coming year, the Alumni Society looks forward to planning social and/or networking events in conjunction with the Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association. Please check back as these events and dates are announced for further information.
We’re always looking for Beaver alumni who enjoy reuniting with fellow Penn Staters to promote the Alumni Society’s mission and assist Beaver campus in any way. The Alumni Society meets two or three times a year.
