Rockets Away

(Ages 8 to 14)

10..9..8..7…… Rockets of all sizes and shapes from "minis" to "megas" will be launched!  

Campers will be introduced to rocket science and space flight through daily hands-on activities, scientific inquiry, and introductory physics and will participate in the construction, launching, and evaluation of rockets each day. Participants will be able to duplicate rockets at home with simple materials. At the end of the week, campers will build a solid fuel rocket that simulates a “real” space rocket. Campers' families are invited to watch the launching of these solid fuel rockets as well as the launch of an even bigger “mega” rocket.  

Dates: Monday - Friday, July 8 - 12, 2013  

Time: 9:00 a.m. - Noon

Fee: $125 (Includes activities, rocket kit and supplies, and T-shirt)
