"Union Electric Steel Corporation partnered with the Penn State Beaver Office of Continuing Education to develop a management training program for managers in our western Pennsylvania plants. Penn State was instrumental in the development and execution of the 16-hour training program that addressed such areas as effective communications, dealing with conflict, team building, dealing with change, and supervisory essentials. The instruction was professional and effective with scenarios relevant to our environment. Our managers are applying what was learned as evidenced from the focus group meeting conducted by Penn State Beaver a few months following the training."
