My name is Jenean Maratta, and I'm from Hopewell Township. I am an applied psychology student at Penn State Beaver. I chose Penn State Beaver because of it being a small school, because of the academics, and that I wanted to bleed Blue and White. I am married; I'm a mother of two. And sometimes it is difficult to juggle, but I think what gets me through is my family. They support me 100%. I chose applied psychology because I really find it interesting about who a person is, what's their background, and what their past experiences have attributed to who they are today. I am so glad that I chose Penn State Beaver because I really feel that the professors and the staff on campus really care about my success in the future. I have three goals. It just kind of depends on which door opens up. I'd love to get my Ph.D. in social psych, and I'd love to do research and development. But I'm also thinking about getting my master's and getting my license to become a practicing therapist. My third possibility is to find a job right after I graduate with my bachelor's and letting my future employer pay for my grad school.
