Technology Training Opportunities in April

As the last full month of the semester, April is one of the busiest times of the year. Fortunately, this month’s free technology workshops will help make navigating all of the extra work a lot easier. April features workshops to help you collaborate, multitask, and do everyday tasks more efficiently with iPad Productivity Apps, Box at Penn State, Microsoft Office essentials, UCS tips, and more.

For those looking into new ideas for next semester, faculty chats on how to use Yammer and iPads in the classroom are a great start. Simply click the session titles below to register. If you ever have any questions, feel free to contact us at itstraining@psu.edu.

Course Spotlight: Getting Started with Sites at Penn State

Powered by the open-source, web-publishing platform WordPress, Sites at Penn State is available to faculty, staff, and students who want to publish information onto the web. This hands-on session will focus on how you can get started publishing by creating a website, blog, or ePortfolio for your course, department, event, or even to create your own professional page. With an emphasis on best practices and an exploration of the interface and how to manage posts, pages, media, and more, you’ll leave this course empowered to create your own custom website. To register visit the Getting Started with Sites at Penn State course page.
