Free concerts continue at Brodhead Cultural Center

Jim Burke's Bavarian Brass Band will present a free concert at the Penn State Beaver Brodhead Cultural Center at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26, and the Swingin' Beaver Bop Cats will give a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 10. There is no rain date for the Bavarian Brass Band performance. In the event of rain, the Swingin' Beaver Bop Cats' show will be held the following evening.

Tickets on sale for Center Theatre Company musical 'Into the Woods'

Tickets are on sale for the Center Theatre Company's (CTP) production of "Into the Woods," Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award-winning musical. The play will be held at 7:30 p.m. July 25 and 26 and Aug. 1 and 2in the auditorium of the Penn State Beaver campus Student Union Building as part of the Brodhead Cultural Center's 32nd summer programming series. CTP director Sandy Reigel, Monaca, is the play's director.

Admissions will host two Spend a Summer Evening programs

The Penn State Beaver Admissions Office will host Spend a Summer Evening programs at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, and 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, in the campus Student Union Building. At each event, participants will learn about Penn State location options and the admissions process as well as talk with Penn State Beaver faculty and students. Attendees will also be given a tour of the campus by a student Lion Ambassador.

Beaver appoints adult and transfer admissions recruiter

Rebecca Mulholland has been appointed part-time adult and transfer admissionsrecruiter at Penn State Beaver, effective immediately. Before this position, Mulholland served as a case manager for Pittsburgh's Ursuline Senior Services where she oversaw cases for more than 50 clients.

Jackson appointed assistant women's basketball coach

Jessica Jackson has been named an assistant coach of the Penn State Beaver Lady Lions basketball team. In addition, Jackson was recently appointed as Beaver's student activities/residence life coordinator, effective Aug. 1. Her responsibilities for the Lady Lions will include on-floor coaching, recruiting, academic monitoring and film exchange.

Beaver alumni chapter, Smeal alumni co-host Nittany Networking event

The Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and members of the area Smeal Business Alumni Club will co-host a Nittany Networking event at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at the Elixir Ultra Lounge, 1500 E.
