Admissions Office Will Host Two Free Workshops
The Penn State Beaver Admissions Office will host two free workshops on Saturday, Feb. 2.
An Application Workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Admissions Office, Student Union Building. The workshop is designed to help prospective students of all ages apply to Penn State. After completing an application, those applying to Penn State Beaver may receive a decision immediately. The $50 application fee will be waived for those selecting Beaver as their first-choice campus. Financial aid information and campus tours will be available.
In order to receive an admissions decision the same day, applicants must bring their official high school transcripts to the workshop. Only applications to Beaver campus will be received and evaluated immediately. Applications to other Penn State locations will be forwarded, along with the application fee, to the requested campus(es) for evaluation. Application fees are not refundable. Registration for the workshop is not required.
A Financial Aid Workshop will begin at 10 a.m. in the Student Union Building. Parents and students will learn how to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and will learn about the types of aid available, including grants, loans, and scholarships. The workshop also assists in guiding participants through the potential pitfalls of financing a college education. Advanced registration requested.
