Three Beaver Cagers Honored by USCAA
This week three Penn State Beaver basketball players from the Nittany Lions and Lady Lions teams were honored by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) for their accomplishments on the court.
Sophomore Zac Fetchin from Hopewell Township and freshman Jasmine Green of Allentown were named USCAA All-American. Freshman Heather Sandusky of New Brighton was named USCAA Honorable-Mention All-American.
Fetchin, who led the USCAA in scoring for most of the season, averaged 23 points per game, 8.7 rebounds per game, and recorded 8 double-doubles this season. He is a major in the Division of Undergraduate Studies. Green had a solid freshman campaign, averaging 11 points per game, and leading the team to an 18-6 overall record (13-3 in the PSUAC) and a #3 seed in the USCAA tournament. She is a business major.
Sandusky, who was named an USCAA All-American in women’s volleyball last fall, recorded three double-doubles in her freshman season. She is majoring in applied psychology.
