Silent Witnesses, Jackson Katz highlight Voices Against Violence
In observance of October as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Penn State Beaver continues to host programs with the theme of Voices Against Violence. The programs are free to the public.
On Monday, Oct. 13, a special program titled "Silent Witnesses" will be presented by domestic abuse survivors from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Special Events Room next to the Brodhead Bistro. At noon Wednesday, Oct. 29, Jackson Katz will give a presentation about awareness and prevention of domestic violence and abuse in the auditorium of the Student Union Building. Katz is a nationally known anti-sexist male activist and author of "The Macho Paradox." At the conclusion of his presentation, Katz will moderate a panel discussion featuring members of the Survivors Speakers Bureau.
