Penn State Beaver hosted the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Conference which drew more than 100 participants from the community and educational and professional fields. The conference was designed to inform participants about the increasing demand for skilled workers in the sciences in leading industries. Attendees were shown how industry sectors, particularly manufacturing and energy, are undergoing huge changes that require heightened knowledge and training in advanced technologies. In addition, participants were able to network to develop workplace learning partnerships, opportunities, and internships.
