Penn State Beaver Undergraduate Research Fair Winners Announced
Thirteen students participated in the Eighth Annual Penn State Beaver Undergraduate Research Fair held recently on campus. The students discussed their research during oral and / or poster presentations and were required to work with a faculty mentor in researching their topic and preparing a presentation.

Oral Presentation – First Place:
Peter Ng, sophomore science major, Queens, NY
Topic: The synthesis of a potential chemotherapy agent: 2, 3-diphenyl Thiazolidin-4-one adduct of iron (III) tetrachloride.

Topic: Unmasking a Hero: Culture and Gender among Modern-Day Heroes
