Miller-Butterworth is co-recipient of $50,000 grant

Cassandra Miller-Butterworth, assistant professor of biology at Penn State Beaver, is the co-recipient of a $50,000 grant from the Winifred Violet Scott Estate in Australia. The funds will be shared by Penn State, the University of Melbourne, and the Australian Museum for a project designed to
place the Australian Museum Collection of bent-winged bats (genus Miniopterus) in a modern conservation context, to verify species boundaries and geographic distributions of Miniopterus, and to verify species identifications as recorded in the Australian Museum.
