New faculty member hired for administration of justice program
Mary Pierce has been hired as assistant professor of administration of justice at Penn State Beaver and will begin teaching in the new administration of justice baccalaureate degree program that is being delivered jointly by Beaver, Penn State New Kensington, and Penn State Shenango in the fall. All required courses will be offered at each campus, although students should expect to take some courses via interactive video and/or the Web.
Pierce is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Western Oregon University. She earned a doctorate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2009, a master's degree from New Mexico State University in 2003, and a bachelor's degree from Whitman College, Washington, in 2000.
