Beaver students, alumni work together at Habitat ReStore

5/3/2010 —

On Saturday, April 24, 11 members of the Penn State Beaver Business Club worked with six members of the Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association at the ReStore sponsored by Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County in Beaver Falls. The ReStore held a yard sale to raise funds and collect building supplies for use in future Habitat homes. Business Club President Corinthian Jones, a sophomore business major from Hermitage, Pa, organized the student volunteers for the project.

Beaver campus students and Alumni Chapter members have a history of working together on a variety of projects, including programs for Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County and the annual Holiday Gift Drive for Children and Youth Services of Beaver County. In addition, the students and alumni have organized bowling nights at the Monaca Turners.
