Members of Jimmy Beaumont & the Skyliners Will Present Free Concert on June 29
Mark and Donna Groom, members of Pittsburgh’s Jimmy Beaumont and the Skyliners, will present a free concert, 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 29 at the Penn State Beaver Brodhead Cultural Center’s J. P. Giusti Amphitheater, Brodhead Road, Center Township. The show is open to the public and is part of the Brodhead Cultural Center’s 34th summer season of programming.
In the event of inclement weather, the concert will move into the auditorium of the Beaver campus Student Union Building.
This summer’s Brodhead Cultural Center corporate partner is Clearview Federal Credit Union. Cosponsors are The Times, ARA Corporation, The Idea Works, and Beaver Valley Musicians Union Local 82-545.
The Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association will sell concessions prior to and during the concert. Sale proceeds benefit the Alumni Chapter’s scholarships for Beaver campus students.
The Mill Creek Valley Historical Association will staff and host free tours of the Baker-Dungan Museum located on the hill overlooking the J. P. Giusti Amphitheater for one hour prior to the concert. The museum, which is open to the public, contains a variety of local historical artifacts, tools, furniture, clothing, art, and other displays.
