Beaver Theatre will present annual spring children's play
Penn State Beaver Theatre will continue a longstanding tradition by hosting its annual children’s play in March and April. This year’s play is "Jack’s Big Adventure," which tells the story of an insecure boy who is bullied, falls asleep, and awakens in Mother Goose Land to learn that he can stand up for himself while helping a bully to make friends.
Carol Schafer, associate professor of theatre, integrative arts, and women’s studies, will direct the play which features students on stage and behind the scenes. The students are members of Schafer’s Theatre Production and Practicum class.
The play, which will be held in the auditorium of the campus Student Union Building, will be presented to school groups and organizations at 10 a.m., March 29 and 31 and April 5, 7, 12 and 14. An additional performance for groups will be held at 11:30 a.m., April 7. The public is invited to attend the play at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 10. Tickets are $3 for children and adults.
