Remaining Brodhead Cultural Center Concerts Will Be Held In Auditorium
Because of ongoing electrical work at the Penn State Beaver Brodhead Cultural Center’s J. P. Giusti Amphitheater, this summer’s remaining concerts will be held in the auditorium of the Beaver campus Student Union Building.
The Metropolitan Symphonic Band will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 9. The performance is part of the Cultural Center’s 35th season of summer programming.
This summer’s series cosponsors include The Times, Beaver Valley Musicians Union Local 82-545, and Clearview Federal Credit Union.
The Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association will sell refreshments in the auditorium lobby prior to and during the concert. In addition, at some shows, the chapter will sell Penn State Creamery ice cream from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the lobby. Proceeds from all sales benefit the Alumni Chapter’s scholarships for Beaver campus students.
