Creamery ice cream sales, free concerts continue on campus
Penn State Creamery ice cream sales and free concerts continue in August as the Penn State Beaver Brodhead Cultural Center prepares to conclude its 35th summer season. Due to ongoing electrical work at the J. P. Giusti Amphitheater this summer, the concerts will be held in the auditorium of the campus Student Union Building at 7:30 p.m.
The Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association will continue to sell Penn State Creamery ice cream and other refreshments in the lobby from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. prior to each show. Sale proceeds benefit two scholarships established by the Alumni Chapter for Beaver campus students.
The Boilermaker Jazz Band will perform on Tuesday, Aug. 23, and the Joe Grkman Polka Band will be in concert Tuesday, Aug. 30.
This summer’s Brodhead Cultural Center program sponsors include The Times, Clearview Federal Credit Union, and the Beaver Valley Musicians Union Local 82-545.
