Educators, therapists, counselors can earn graduate credits
The Penn State Beaver Office of Continuing Education will offer ‘Counseling and Teaching Youth at Risk,’ a three-credit graduate class for teachers and counselors, 5-8:30 p.m., Thursdays, March 1 through May 3 at Lincoln Junior-Senior High School, Ellwood City.
This course is designed to provide educators, counselors, therapists, psychologists, and other health education professionals with an overview of information focused on counseling and teaching youth-at-risk.
The class is one of several graduate courses that comprise the Penn State Certificate of Counseling Youth at Risk. The certificate consists of four core courses and one elective. A 15-credit post-baccalaureate certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of all course work. All courses of study satisfy ACT 48 requirements.
