Brodhead Cultural Center kicks off 37th summer season of programs

The Brodhead Cultural Center at Penn State Beaver will kick off its 37th summer season of programs on Tuesday, June 18. Shows are free and will be held in the J.P. Giusti Amphitheater, but the Center Theatre Players’ musical has a $15 admission fee and will be held in the auditorium of the Beaver campus Student Union Building.
            
In the event of inclement weather, shows scheduled for the amphitheater will be moved into the auditorium of the Beaver campus Student Union Building.
            
Sponsors for this summer’s programs are The Times; Beaver Valley Musicians Union Local 82-545; Harper & Hodge; Eat’n Park Hospitality Group, Inc.; ESB Bank; Kitchen & Bath Concepts Pittsburgh, LLC; Michael Baker Corporation, and NOVA Chemicals.  Three additional sponsors requested anonymity.

Tuesday, June 18 - Allegheny Brass Band

Tuesday, June 25 - The Jazz Conspiracy Swingtet
Penn State Creamery Ice Cream Sale from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, July 9 – Metropolitan Italian Symphonic Band
                                                        
Tuesday, July 16 – Pittsburgh Banjo Club
Penn State Creamery Ice Cream Sale from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.                                                         

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, July 25, 26, 27 - “The Drowsy Chaperone” – a musical comedy presented by the Center Theatre Players; directed by Sandy Reigel. Tickets are $15; call 724-773-3610.

Tuesday, August 6 – Beaver County Symphonic Wind Ensemble
Penn State Creamery Ice Cream Sale from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

Penn State Creamery Ice Cream Sale from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
              
The Penn State Beaver Varsity Club will sell concessions before and during all shows. Proceeds benefit Beaver campus student-athletes. The Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association will sell Penn State Creamery ice cream prior to four shows, as indicated. Proceeds benefit the Alumni Chapter scholarship for campus students.
