Beaver campus students raise $1,000 to support THON
In November, Penn State Beaver students raised $1,000 at their annual Dance for a Cure event on campus. The funds will be used to support the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, known as THON, which focuses year-round on raising funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer.
Through a variety of programs and events on and off-campus, Beaver campus students raised more than $7,100 for THON in 2012. Since 1977, THON has raised more than $101 million for the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. THON 2014 will take place from Feb. 21 to 23 at Penn State's Bryce Jordan Center.
