Penn State Beaver maintains a full-time police department that provides services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with at least one officer on duty at all times. The department's staff consists of five full-time officers and two part-time officers.
Penn State Police Officers are certified by the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Commission. They have the same authority as municipal police officers in the Commonwealth and are required to have the same basic police training, first-aid training, and annual in-service training required for municipal police.
LOCATION
The Beaver campus University Police Building is the white building at the intersection of the main campus entrance, near the loading dock of the Brodhead Bistro.
GENERAL INFORMATION
At Penn State Beaver, a campus police officer is on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Assistance and information are available to students, faculty, staff, and visitors at any time, including after 5:00 p.m. during the week and on weekends and holidays.
For assistance, please call 724-773-3888, or ext. 3888 from any campus telephone. Call boxes are located outside the front doors of the Ross Administration Building, library, gymnasium, and the University Police Building. If you need to speak with a police officer in person and an officer is not in the University Police Building, please use the call box located by the Police Building's front door or call by telephone.
